In 2001, the first Alabama Native American Business Directory was published by the Alabama Indian Affairs Commission with the intent of making information available to the general public regarding Native American business owners.

These business owners perform a variety of services. Our office does not endorse, approve or recommend any of the businesses listed.

Small Business Administration

The Small Business Administration (SBA) helps Americans start, build, and grow businesses. They provide resources and tools, including access to capital, opportunities in Federal contracting, access to entrepreneurial education, and disaster assistance for businesses, homeowners, and renters.

What you need to know about small business grants

  • SBA does not provide grants for starting and expanding a business.
  • SBA provides grants to nonprofits, Resource Partners, and educational organizations. These grants aim to support entrepreneurship through counseling and training programs.
  • SBA only communicates from email addresses ending in@sba.gov. If you are contacted by someone claiming to be from SBA, check their address. If they are not using an official SBA email address, you should suspect and report fraud.

For more information on the Small Business Administration contact them at https://www.sba.gov/funding-programs/grants.
